Linas pappa med familj var här och hälsade på henne för några veckor sedan och turligt nog så hann dom inte utnyttja alla av deras NYC tourist passes så det innebar att jag och Katharina fick äran att följa med på en båttur runt Manhattan i det kalla höstvädret. Båten gick ifrån 38st och körde ner runt lower Manhattan och upp till Manhattan bridge, ut till frihetsgudinnan och sen tillbaka. Hela båtturen tog 90 min och återigen så tröttnar man aldrig på vyn över New York City. Efter så åkte jag och Lina till Brooklyn för att gå på New York Festival of Lights vilket var en gratis event där en ljusshow och ljuskonst hade satts upp. Det var otroligt mycket folk, men det får man väl räkna med när det är gratis och man bor i NYC. Väldigt litet dock men väldigt häftigt hur dom hade byggt upp allt. Jag gillar verkligen hur kulturell samhället är här, det är rätt stor skillnad till lilla Falun eller Sundsvall! 

 

 

Lina's dad and his family were here couple of weeks ago to visit her and luckily, for me and Katharina, they didn't have the time to use all of the NYC tourist passes they had bought. In other words we had the chance to follow Lina on a cruise around Midtown Manhattan in the cold fall weather last Saturday.  The Cruise started at 38st and drove down around lower Manhattan, upp to Manhattan Bridge, back to the Statue of Liberty, and then back again. The whole trip took about 90 minutes and once again, I will never get tired of the view of New York City. After the boat trip me and Lina took the subway to Brooklyn to go and see the New York Festival of Lights, which was a free event where a light show and light arts had been set up. It was extremely crowded, but I guess that is something you need to get used to if there is a free event and if you live in NYC. Actually, it was pretty small but I found it really cool how they had built up everything. I really like the cultural society here, it is something different compare to the small town Falun or my hometown Sundsvall.
