Som sagt igår när vi var på väg hemåt så kommer jag, Maddie och Anton ut från Victoria's Secret och väntar vid korsningen vid 34st, Herald Square för att gå över gatan. Det blir grönt för oss och körfälten som ska köra på 34st får också grönt. Bilen i kraschen får min uppmärksamhet när jag hör ett högt burnande av däck och ser hur den kvinnliga föraren nästan leker. Precis som eporna hemma gör på willys parkeringen. Bilen har nog uppskattningsvis en hastighet mellan 50-60kmh. Är fortfarande i rätt körfält och sladdar ut med baken åt höger för att sedan byta riktning och sladdar ut med baken åt vänster och över på fel körfält och slår i vänstra sidan i fronten på bilen som var 4 meter ifrån mig och mina vänner. Största smällen blev nog på förarens sidodörr. Tack o lov tappade bilen rätt mycket fart i den här smällen. Efter detta så studsar bilen ut i högra körfältet igen och sladdar två gånger, för att sedan få upp mer fart och studsa upp på trottoaren och kör rakt in i personerna som går där. Jag kommer ihåg bilden av att jag ser en människa ramas upp över huven och fortsätter över taket på bilen, medans två andra personer flyger på höger sida om bilen. Detta är vad jag känner är mest obehagligt för kan inte få bort bilden av människor flyga som dockor 2-3m upp i luften. Bilen stannar när den sedan krashar rakt in i butiken Forever 21 och skyltfönstret går i tusen bitar. Tystnad av 3-4 sekunder uppstår och sedan börjar folk skrika och springa mot bilen för att hjälpa dom skadade. Jag och mina vänner stod kvar vid korsningen chockade över allt som hade hänt. Hur som helst så fick vi ju tankarna på mannen som satt i den första bilen som blev träffad. Anton öppnade passagerar dörren och frågade hur han mådde men fick inte mycket till respons. Därefter kom en polis och hjälpte mannen ut som tack och lov verkade vara relativit oskadd. Maddie pratade lite med honom efter och han sa då att han var okej. Vi stod ungefär 50-60m från butiken där bilen stannade och nu i efterhand så läser vi på nyheterna att 7 personer fick åka till sjukhus, inklusive föraren som misstänkt ha varit alkoholpåverkad, men ingen har livshotande skador. Som sagt blev lite i chock efter det hela men som sagt är otroligt glad att vi hade turen att vara på rätt sida om vägen och fan ta dig du som körde. Införskaffa alkohollås på varenda bil så slipper vi sånt här.

Yesterday, when me, Maddie, and Anton came out from Victoria's Secret and were waiting to cross the street at 34st, Herald Square. The lights turned green for us and so did the lanes that would go on the 34st. The car got my attention when I heard a high noise of "burning wheels" and seeing a female driver almost playing "Need for Speed". Just like "eporna" back home at Willy's parking lot. The car had an estimated speed of 50-60 kmh. The car is still in the right lane but skidded out to the right in the middle of the intersection, fishtailed, skidded over to the left side, this time on the wrong side of the street. Hit the leftside of the car in the front of the car that was 4 meters from us. Luckily the speed went down here. Becuase the car bounced back into the right lane, fishtailed two more times and then speeding up and heading towards the sidewalk. The car, drive right through a group of people and I remeber one person flying up over the front rolling over the roof and then two more people flying like bowling pins on the right. Thsi is what I can't stop thinking about, watching people get hit and fly 2-3 meters up in the air. However, the car smashed into the store Forever 21 and the shop window crashed into thousands of pieces. It was silent for 3-4 seconds and then people started to scream and run to help those who got injured. Me and my friends were still at the intersection shocked over we just witnessed. After coming back to the reality we thought we needed to make sure the guy in the car next to us, that he was alright. Anton opened up the right front door and asked how he was but didn't get to much of a response. At the same time a police officer helped the man out and he seemed to be relatively unscatched. Maddie talked to him again how he was and got the answer that he was okay. We stood maybe 50-60 meters from the store the car stopped and now afterwards we can read in the news that 7 people were sent to hostpital, including the female driver who is suspected for being drunk, but no body got life-threatning injuries. As you can imgaine I got little bit shocked over the accident and I'm so happy that we did not cross the street or that we were not on the other side of the road and fuck you who drove that car. It should be a requierment to have alcohol locked cars and accidents like this could be avoided.
